Nacha Li
Nacha Li (she/they) is a documentary filmmaker from Chengdu, based in New York, whose work explores personal narratives that build worlds not yet existed. Their most recent short doc, Taste of Home, follows her ballroom father who taught her to vogue after sexual harassment at work silenced her dancing.
A Semi-Finalist for the 2026 NewFest New Voices Filmmaker Grant, and a member of Video Consortium and Brown Girls Doc Mafia, she holds an MA in News and Documentary from NYU, and a BA in Bengali Language and Literature. Nacha is fluent in Sichuan dialect, Mandarin, English, German and Bengali. When not with films, she dances.
